WELCOME

Since mid-January, I have been working towards becoming a master teacher.  This portfolio contains some of my most important achievements on my journey thus far.  These achievements have been pulled from course work and long-term subbing at Damascus High School (DHS).  They provide evidence of my growth and development as an educator through showing my ability to apply learning theory and reflections on how I am developing as an educator.  I invite you to come along with me on my continuous journey.

Framework for Self-Assessment

When reflecting on my growth as an educator, I had to use a framework or set of criteria to help me gauge or interpret my professional growth.  The framework chosen for this task was an integration of the Praxis III Criteria and the MCPS Standards for Professional Development.  There are six overarching standards in which I am evaluating myself.  Within each of the six standards are two artifacts that demonstrate how I meet the standard.
